Why do you charge a fee for your custom vacation services?

Our Travel Design Fee covers the research, detailed itinerary design, travel booking, management, and support we provide throughout your journey. This fee allows us to offer comprehensive and personalized planning services from start to finish. The Design Fee starts at $250 and may be higher depending on the complexity of your trip. We will share your exact fee with you after your complimentary discovery call. We do not charge a fee to book hotels, cruises, or properties you have already chosen.

What types of trips can SiouxDak Travel design?

How far in advance should we start planning our trip?

The timing depends on the experience you want. For big bucket-list trips like African safaris, European river cruises, or ultra-luxe exotic locales, it’s best to start planning up to a year in advance since spots fill up quickly. For other vacations where you’re more flexible, starting 3-6 months in advance is fine. If you have less time, reach out, and we'll see if we can still help!

Do you recommend I use travel insurance to cover my trip?

Yes, always. We strongly encourage our clients to get travel insurance to protect their vacation investment. Standard health insurance often doesn’t cover you outside of the U.S., and travel insurance provides essential coverage for unexpected events. We can refer you to trusted providers who will help you choose the right coverage for your needs.
